So when someone hires me to help build their business’s marketing scaffolding, I get pretty excited. I take great joy in helping my clients solidify their visions, grow, and take risks. My role is part coach, part conductor, and part nuts-and-bolts technician.

I arrived here by way of an unconventional path of curiosity, education, and experimentation. I earned my BA in English from Sam Houston State University in 1994 and worked as a health and education reporter in Huntsville, TX, directly out of college. Since that time, I’ve worked as an EMT, a kids’ yoga teacher, an Art Director (Andrews McMeel Publishing), and a part-time graphic design teacher. The last decade (plus) has been dedicated to running Creatrix, where I incorporate all that I’ve learned and loved along the way. It’s part science, part art, part sociology, and all heart.

My personal work in the world right now is partnering with my husband, Aaron, to help grow my two girls (16 and 5 years old) into strong, well-loved women. Meanwhile, I continue to deepen my mindfulness and yoga practices, pull out my paint brushes when I can find the time, and connect with plenty of fine folks along the way.

A transplant from The Lone Star State, I’ve lived, worked, and played in Kansas City since 2000.
